Okay—this one’s extra special. 💙

This wasn’t just another grad session. This was Rob’s graduation shoot at the University of Florida… and Rob wasn’t just any graduate—he was my then boyfriend-turned-now husband. And this session? It was one of the first times I really felt like, "Okay. This is it. I want to do photography for real."

Back then, photography was still something I did for fun—just capturing moments here and there, mostly for friends, sometimes for events. But when Rob’s graduation rolled around, I knew I wanted to go all in for him. Not just because I loved him (which, obviously), but because I wanted to tell his story in a way that felt true to who he was and everything he’d accomplished.

So we made a whole day out of it. Just the two of us, walking around the University of Florida’s campus, soaking in that Gainesville sunshine and celebrating all the hard work Rob had put into the past few years. We laughed a lot, took breaks to grab snacks, talked about the future (spoiler: it was looking good 💍), and stopped at every one of our favorite UF spots.

Of course, we hit up the big ones—Century Tower, The Swamp, and those palm-lined walkways that just scream Gator grad vibes. But what made the session so meaningful wasn’t the backdrop—it was the connection. The joy. The playfulness. It didn’t feel like a “photoshoot” in the traditional sense; it felt like a celebration. A love letter to this chapter in our lives, captured in real time.

Looking back now, those photos are some of my absolute favorites—not just because of how they turned out (although, yes, they’re so him), but because that was the day I realized how powerful photography can be. That it’s not about stiff poses or perfect lighting; it’s about preserving emotion. Energy. The feeling of this is who I was, and this is what it meant to me.

That session was the beginning of everything. It’s what pushed me to start taking this passion seriously. Fast forward to now, and I’m lucky enough to photograph other grads across Gainesville and beyond, helping them celebrate their milestones in an authentic, fun, and personal way—just like I did with Rob.

So if you’re graduating and looking for a University of Florida graduation photographer who gets how important this moment is—someone who’s been on both sides of the camera (double gator here!), and who knows how to make it feel more like a fun outing than a formal session—I’m your girl.

I bring the same energy to every shoot that I brought to Rob’s: excitement, care, and a deep love for capturing people in their element. Whether it’s a silly in-between laugh, a proud cap toss, or that quiet moment when it all starts to hit you… those are the things that matter.

Let’s make it fun. Let’s make it you.

If you're planning your own graduation photos at the University of Florida (or anywhere in Central Florida), I’d love to help you celebrate this huge moment with joy, style, and a little bit of magic.
